In this guest bathroom remodel in Cupertino, we used an LED medicine cabinet along with recessed traditional medicine cabinet to maximize storage space in a limited vanity area and to expand the space visually.

For this very small guest bathroom in Palo Alto, we maximized usability, by installing a wall-mounted sink instead of a vanity, leaving open space underneath. This choice kept the layout clean and practical while pairing beautifully with a glass shower enclosure and wood-look flooring.

Here in this small bath remodel in Fremont we used a wall-mounted sink with small storage cabinets on the side, providing accessibility while maintaining full functionality. Combined with marble-look finishes and a modern LED mirror, the result was both stylish and user-friendly.
#5. DESIGN YOUR BATHROOM LIGHTING IN LAYERS
You will be surprised how much a well-thought layered lighting can transform a small cramped bathroom into beautiful and modern piece of art!
Universal bathroom lighting advice is to think of three layers: ambient, task, and accent lighting. Ambient lighting sets the overall tone and brightness of the room, task lighting ensures functionality for activities like shaving or makeup, and accent lighting highlights design features and overall aesthetics of your bathroom.
Recessed lighting, pendant lights, motion detectors with lighter and dimmer switches for different moods, LED strips and spots for vanity and shower niches — add some creativity to your bathroom lighting and enjoy the final result.
#6. MAXIMIZE VERTICAL SPACE
When floor space is limited, go up! Things you can do to visually draw the eye upward while also creating more usable space:
- Use taller storage cabinets.
- Vertical tiles, vertical wood-looking vertical panels, to visually elongate the space.
- Stacked shelving to optimize storage.
In this small 5×7 bathroom remodel for our client in Sunnyvale, additional cabinet above the toilet provided huge storage and visually elongated the space, which made this design feel more light and modern.
