This Sunnyvale kitchen remodel required a complete relocation and reconfiguration of the home’s main living space. The project transformed the original layout by moving the kitchen to an entirely different area of the home, creating a more functional open-concept design that better connects the kitchen, dining room, and living room.
The renovation included creating a new opening between the living room and dining room, relocating windows and a sliding patio door, upgrading the electrical panel, and completely rewiring the kitchen. All plumbing, electrical, and appliance connections were relocated to support the new layout, including a new sink location, range hood, and a convenient pot filler installed above the cooktop.
The new kitchen features custom cabinetry, a large center island with seating, quartz countertops, premium appliances, and a dedicated beverage station with a built-in wine refrigerator. Every major system in the space was upgraded, including electrical, plumbing, lighting, and ventilation, resulting in a modern kitchen designed for both everyday living and entertaining.
The finished space delivers a seamless flow between the kitchen and surrounding living areas while maximizing functionality, storage, and natural light. This project is an excellent example of how a complete kitchen relocation can dramatically improve both the usability and value of a home.
